2025 vs. 2026 Genesis G80: What’s New in Interior Tech and Driving Comfort
The Genesis G80 received a styling refresh and major interior tech updates for 2025. However, we now have new information about what to expect from the 2026 model. In this article, we’ll tell you about the 2026 vs. 2025 Genesis G80 specs and discuss which model year is right for you.
The Main Changes in the 2026 Genesis G80
The 2026 G80 will look the same as the 2025 G80, with many of the same features as well. All significant updates happened during last year’s refresh, which brought a completely redesigned dashboard with elegant styling and soft-touch materials.
However, we do know some changes coming in 2026. First, there’ll be some exterior color changes. Ceres Blue will be available on the 2.5T Sport Prestige and the 3.5T Sport Prestige. Additionally, Tasman Blue and Makalu Gray Matte will no longer be offered.
There’ll also be a few changes to the available trims and packages. The 3.5T Sport Advanced AWD trim will be replaced by the 3.5T Prestige Black AWD, which features blacked-out styling. Also, the 2.5T Advanced AWD will gain some new available features, including manual rear sunshades, Genesis Digital Key 2, and a front wireless device charger.
Finally, here’s the 2026 Genesis G80 pricing. The G80 2.5T will feature three variants: AWD, Advanced AWD, and Sport Prestige AWD. Each one starts at $58,450, $64,040, and $69,950, respectively. For the G80 3.5T, you can choose between the Sport Prestige AWD, which begins at $78,350, and the Prestige Black AWD, starting at $79,350.
The G80’s Luxurious Interior
The G80’s cabin is simply luxurious. It features diamond-quilted Nappa leather seats, real wood trim, and metal details on the steering wheel, doors, and center console. You also get ambient lighting throughout the cabin, and the crystalline accents and tempered glass gear selector add a premium touch to the center console.
Infotainment and Digital Displays
The G80 comes with a large 27-inch OLED display on the dashboard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, and the cabin also features USB ports. The 2025 model comes with Genesis Digital Key.
You can control everything in the cabin using the touch screen, the dial on the center console, or your voice. The optional Bang & Olufsen sound system also makes your music sound excellent.
G80 Seating Comfort and Style
The comfortable seats from the 2025 G80 will remain unchanged in the 2026 model. The power front seats feature four-way lumbar adjustments, as well as heating and cooling capabilities. Your back-seat passengers also get luxury seating, with standard heated rear seats. There’s plenty of space inside the G80 as well, with 103.8 cubic feet of passenger space.
Climate Control and Cabin Noise
The climate controls got a stylish update in 2025, and the physical buttons will remain for 2026. The three-zone climate control system lets you, your front passenger, and your rear passengers set their own temperatures.
The G80 is well known for its comfortable driving experience, and this continues to be true. With technology and materials that dampen engine noise and vibrations, you’ll always get a smooth and quiet ride, whether you’re cruising on I-77 or through downtown Columbia traffic.

Advanced Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Both model years come with the same advanced safety and driver-assistance features. Highway Driving Assist 2 helps keep you centered in your lane and assists with lane changes. You also get forward collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, and a blind-spot monitor. The available Surround View Monitor uses eight sensors and four cameras to create a 360-degree view on the 27-inch screen.
In 2025, the G80 earned the Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Additionally, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the G80 a five-star overall safety rating. The 2026 G80 is expected to match these ratings as well.
Should You Wait for the 2026 G80 or Buy the 2025 Model Now?
Since Genesis plans to keep the G80 nearly the same for 2026, you won’t miss any major upgrades by choosing a 2025 model. You may also prefer a 2025 model if one of your preferred trims or colors won’t be available in 2026. Another consideration to make is the price. The 2025 G80 starts at $57,100 for the base 2.5T, and the 3.5T trims range from $69,600 to $77,000. The prices will increase for 2026 as detailed earlier in the article.
